Queer For Cities — New in Spring 2024!

Out to make queer a joyful norm.

The design of our communities is an intentional act that often excludes and doesn’t center folks at the margins. Queer For Cities is a podcast about life at the intersections of identity and place and designing equity-centered, liberated communities where LGBTQ+ folx thrive.

Public Hearing

Public Hearing was a podcast I launched with my company Action! by Design started in 2020, where we explore the unique challenges and opportunities facing Massachusetts' gateway cities as they work to create more equitable, liberated, and sustainable communities.

Each episode brought stories from the frontlines of community change work, featuring the people and organizations working to make a difference in their cities. We dived into issues like affordable housing, transportation, education, and more, and heard from experts and community leaders about the innovative solutions they were creating to address these challenges.

You can still listen to past episodes of Public hearing wherever you listen to podcasts.

Aired on WICN 90.5FM, Worcester’s NPR affiliate station on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm.

Experience This Podcast

I launched season one of Experience This Podcast in March 2019. As someone who is constantly curious about design, technology, and community innovation; I wanted to share some of those stories with the world. I talk with some incredibly interesting people about a whole lot of things—from experiencing bias in virtual reality to getting humans to Mars, inclusive community development strategies, and more.

We wrapped the show after Season 2 to launch Public Hearing Podcast, but these are lasting stories I hope you’ll take some time to listen to.

Bias in VR

How might we use virtual reality to address racism in our society? This week, we dive into discussing cultural racism with Dr. Courtney Cogburn at Columbia University and how they are using virtual reality in their research.
